Novartis in Indonesia
Novartis´ history in Indonesia began already in 1968 through the incorporation of PT Ciba Indonesia. After undergoing several milestones, following the global merger of Sandoz and Ciba Geigy to create Novartis, PT Ciba Indonesia merged with PT Sandoz Biochemie Pharma to become PT Novartis Biochemie in 1996.

In 2005, following Novartis´ global acquisition of Hexal Group, Novartis Indonesia´s Sandoz Division also acquired PT Prima Hexal in Indonesia and hence established an enlarged new legal entity called PT Sandoz Indonesia.

In 2006, PT Novartis Biochemie change its legal entity to become PT Novartis Indonesia and celebrate its 10 years merger worldwide.

Today, Novartis in Indonesia employs about 550 employees in its Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health division including in the manufacturing plant in Citeureup, West Java. Medical Science Liaison - Jakarta
Job Description    
Build scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals and decision makers to build advocacy. Strategically prepare and support the development, launch and commercialization of drug products through education of KOLs/Key Stakeholders, education of the scientific community and KOLs, clinical trial support, and by the scientific exchange seeking external insight to shape Novartis commercial and development programs.

KOL Management & Medical Support
1. Contributes to mapping / profiling of KOL/decision makers in line with segmentation
2. Develop professional relationships, build advocacy and gain contributions of KOL/decision makers.
3. Collect, analyze and report insights that may impact Novartis development plans /trial designs.
4. Provide and discuss scientific information and data to healthcare professionals to ensure quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information on new treatment options including Novartis products and selected areas of therapeutic interest.
5. Liaise and provide up-to-date medical support to relevant external groups to facilitate listing of products in medical guidelines, formularies to impact pricing and health-economic discussions.

9. Identify clinical investigators with research proposals that are consistent with our product development strategies and facilitate the Investigator-Initiated Research Protocol (IIRP) process including study completion, presentation, and publication, as appropriate.
10. Support the investigators to comply with the IIRP process in accordance with the guidelines and NIPs, providing knowledge and guidance for legal and financial local regulations, as appropriate.

Internal Novartis Support

Job Description    
Drives Novartis brand adoption through provision of key medical knowledge of the brand.

Major Accountabilities:

Head of Financial Reporting & Accounting - Jakarta
Job Description    
To report and analyze the company’s financial reports are reported accurately and timely, develop and maintain financial policies, procedures and systems in accordance with Indonesian Accounting Standard (PSAK) and Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), ensure proper controls are in place and that the Company’s objectives are met.

Major accountabilities:
* Financial Reporting (FRS and Statutory)
Coordinate, prepare, report and review of monthly reporting to Group (FRS, NPMR reporting)
Ensure that GAAPs between FRS and Statutory reporting is reconciled on annual basis and schedules are properly maintained.
* Actual/Plan Trend Analysis (A11)
Ensure the analysis report is prepared and discussed with FRA, BPA and CFO before final month end closing (H-2 days) to provide basis of risk assessment on reporting figures. Work closely with BPA to challenge figures the reporting number to ensure accuracy.
* Maintenance Books of Accounts
Ensure data recorded in General ledger, fixed asset, inventory are correct and accurate
Oversee and ensure Balance Sheet Review process in good order, all high risk accounts properly reconcile monthly before FCRS submission.
Validate and ensure accurate journal entries and allocation runs are consistent with SLA agreement with CFO approvals.
* Process Control
Develop and maintain policies align with NAM (Novartis Accounting Manual) and NFCM (Novartis Financial Controls Manual)
Ensure that all financial reporting are in compliance with audit (internal and external)
Always review and maintain segregation of duties within the department
Recommend possible solution and improvement to the existing system (i.e. SAP, e-Shop, BW)

Business Process Control Manager - Jakarta
Job Description    
• Assist to ensure business processes are supported by strong and compliant internal controls, which ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations.

Major accountabilities:
• Assist in establishing and implementing processes to set up an adequate risk and control architecture within the organization

Job Description    
Directs all aspects of legal oversight for the country (all divisions), ensuring the provision of legal insight and documentation relevant to business development, market access, employee relations, intellectual property, litigation, corporate compliance, tax and insurance compliance, and all country contracting.
